This page explains how content on Vijidsu is researched, written, fact-checked, and reviewed. We're publishing it so you can see exactly how we arrive at what we publish, and judge for yourself how much weight to give it.

Who Writes and Reviews Our Content

Vijidsu is written and reviewed by Vijidsu, the founder and sole content researcher behind this site. This is currently a one-person operation — there is no editorial team or panel of writers, and we want to be upfront about that rather than imply otherwise. I am not a physician, and nothing on this site is written or reviewed by a licensed medical professional unless specifically stated on that page. Where an article touches on a medical topic, my role is to accurately summarize and cite existing public research — not to diagnose, treat, or offer personalized medical advice.

Every article that discusses health claims goes through a dedicated research and fact-check pass before publication, done by me, using the sourcing standards below.

How We Research a Topic

Before writing about a topic, I look for information from established, checkable sources rather than relying on secondhand summaries. Sourcing priorities are:

  • Peer-reviewed research published in recognized medical or scientific journals
  • Government and public health sources, such as national health institutes and regulatory agencies
  • Established academic and medical institutions
  • Systematic reviews and meta-analyses where available, over single small studies

I avoid basing claims on marketing material, unverified forum posts, or content that cannot be traced back to a named source. When a claim can't be verified against a credible source, it's either left out or clearly framed as a common belief rather than an established fact.

How We Cite Sources

In most articles, sources are identified by name directly in the text — for example, naming the research institution, the journal, or the organization behind a guideline — rather than relying only on hyperlinks. This is a deliberate choice: it makes the sourcing visible and checkable even if you never click a single link, and it means you can independently search for and verify the same research used.

Where outbound links are included, they go only to primary sources such as government health agencies, academic institutions, or peer-reviewed research databases — never to unrelated commercial sites.

How We Choose What to Review

Reviews focus on products within specific health and wellness categories where there is enough published research on the underlying ingredients or approach to say something substantive. A product being reviewed on this site does not mean it's considered a guaranteed solution for every reader — individual results vary, and this is stated throughout the content.

Review pages are structured around the same categories every time, so you can compare products on equal terms:

  • What the product claims to do, and what the ingredient research actually supports
  • How the formulation compares to others in the same category
  • Practical factors such as pricing, guarantee terms, and availability
  • Common questions and concerns readers raise about the category

Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you make a purchase through one of these links, I may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is one of the ways this site is funded, alongside advertising.

The editorial process is not for sale. Affiliate relationships do not determine which products get written about, and they do not change how a product's research backing, limitations, or trade-offs are described. No payment is accepted in exchange for a favorable review.

Keeping Content Current

Health and wellness research is an evolving field. Articles are periodically revisited to check that cited research still holds up, that links still work, and that any pricing or product information reflects what's actually available. Rather than displaying a "Last Updated" date on every page — which can be misleading if a date is changed without a real content update — currency is maintained through this ongoing review process itself. If you'd like to know whether a specific article reflects the latest research on a topic, feel free to reach out through the Contact page below.

Corrections

Every effort is made to get things right the first time, but mistakes can happen. If you believe something on this site is inaccurate, outdated, or misrepresents a source, please reach out through our Contact Us page. Correction requests are reviewed and articles are updated when a claim doesn't hold up to scrutiny.
